Spice Route India Newsletter editorial board takes immense pleasure to welcome you to the first issue of the newsletter this August on International Youth Day.
We take pride in stating that, just within weeks of planning and brainstorming on bringing out a newsletter that is of our own, we received enthusiastic response from residents and young family doctors across India.
The Spice Route India newsletter aims to be the most sought after up-to-date yet informal source of speciality information among young family physicians of the country. A place to share knowledge, practice experiences, stories from training days, and also to showcase the forgotten or hidden talent of each member.
We hope this newsletter brings you hope and a sense of togetherness in the journey. This issue has multiple stories depicting the experiences of family doctors during COVID 19. We also have articles that talk about mental health & newer technological tools. We would like to encourage diversity and inclusion in terms of language and hence a section for articles in regional languages has been introduced as a special feature.
The newsletter envisages to bring about a wide readership among young family doctors , who can showcase their literary skills and collaborate with their peers. We strive to providing a crisp digest of updated information available at one’s fingertips. As said by C S Lewis, "You can make anything by writing”. As family doctors dealing with complex practice situations and working towards people’s well-being, writing can be a powerful tool to communicate one’s learning, to influence, and inspire people. So we call for more articles for the upcoming issues of this quarterly newsletter. Hey friends, this is your space for reflecting, talking, and getting heard.
Happy Reading!
